The world's most renowned automobile vehicle! It is interesting to know how many of us know that Benz is not a company but just a brand? Some facts seem to be more difficult to digest as the moniker itself does not come from a single name or person.
A Benz car is known to have its origin from the people,
1. Carl Benz
2. Gottlieb Daimler
3. Emil Jellinek
As our intellect travels and portrays that these people may start out the product and sell the world, but that isn't the reality! In fact, the first two didn't even meet each other😱 Then how come it is made into one? Who actually owns the Benz? What was the relationship between these three people? To add up to our minds let us get through the below content.....
CARL BENZ:
It is all set in 1886 January at Mannheim, Germany where Benz started his automobile company, Benz & Co after the Benz Patent Motorwagen, known as the world's first motorcar with an internal combustion engine which is made from his wife Bertha Benz's dowry and was driven by her in kilometers.
GOTTLIEB DAIMLER:
Founder of Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (DMG) and too the producer of the world's first four-wheeled motor car. As a surprise, he and this company also belong to Germany in a city called Stuttgart. And to be known, this is the company that owns the Benz brand.
EMIL JELLINEK:
He was the man who was responsible for the brand, Mercedes (not Benz) under the DMG company. This largest dealer in Daimler automobiles, insisted DMG to prepare a car for him which includes innovation and speed as requirements. The opportunity was given to Wilhelm Mayback, the chief designer of DMG. He decided to make a race car for Jellinek which resulted in the delivery of the Mercedes 35 PS, named by Jellinek after his daughter. This is how the "Mercedes" name entered DMG.
THE MERGER:
As Jellinek used the car in racing, resulting in massive success. In 1902, DMG registered the name Mercedes as a trademark and it was the year, Mercedes was born.
Moving on, to the next content, it was 1926 when the world's two oldest manufacturers, DMG and Benz & Cie came under a single name, Daimler - Benz due to the insistence of banks as the world was undergoing world wars. But, however, as said before, these two owners didn't meet themselves as Benz was in the 80s in 1926 and Daimler died in 1900.
AVATARS OF THE NAME:
As of before, it was Benz & Cie and DMG separately;
In 1926 it was merged as one, Daimler - Benz, adopting Mercedes-Benz as its automobile trademark;
In 1998, Chrysler Corporation merged with Daimler - Benz which resulted in the name change to Daimler Chrysler;
In 2007, Chrysler was sold out as the company came with a new name, Daimler AG;
At last in 2022, the name was once again changed to Mercedes-Benz Group where the company was divided into two, Daimler Trucks and Mercedes Benz. Daimler took over the truck works by producing buses and trucks whereas Mercedes continued in it's mega car producing brand.

Introduction of Airbags:
The airbags were first introduced to the European market by Benz in 1981. These bags were fixed up and can be found in S-Class vehicles at that time. This process made a grand success and helped Benz to attract huge customers in the name of "Safety"
Intro to pre-tensioners:
Benz became the first to produce pre-tensioners for seat belts. These instantly tighten the seat belt, in event of a crash and don't allow the passenger to jerk forward.
Intro to 7-G TRONIC:
In September 2003, it first introduced the world's first automatic seven-speed transmission known as the 7G Tronic. It performs an outstanding attitude all over the world by reducing fuel consumption. The gearing operations are performed smoother and quicker than the old and existing transmissions.
Drive Pilot: [ SAE LVL 3]
The new technology of Drive Pilot is now installed in the Benz models which helps you to auto-drive. Receives information on road geometry, displaying 3D views and environment images through LiDAR. Storing information on back-end data enabling to compare with local data set when necessary. It is purely based on a system architecture that provides safe driving in all situations that could arise. The job of driving became easier as nearly 30 sensors ensure the safe driving of the Drive Pilot.

INTELLIGENT PARK PILOT: [SAE LVL 4]
The SAE level 4 is designed in such a way that it offers automated valet parking. Even in the absence of a driver, its features make it perform great in a suitably equipped car park. The foresight is perfect as driver leaves the car at a drop-off, after confirming the connection of the car with smartphone. Once cleared, the Benz automatically drives to its destination and parks it after the start of the procedure from phone.
Through an EQS 580, Benz tested and demonstrated it in a collaboration with BOSCH, which resulted in the grandness, effectiveness, and perfectness of the luxury vehicle.
MBUX HYPER SCREEN:
In the era of techies, Benz introduced the never-like screen on A-Class vehicles of it. With Gorilla glass, OLED technology, supercomputing power, 8 core CPU, 24 GB RAM, and with a memory band of 46.6 GBs per second.
The MBUX Hyper screen, a perfect listener and attender to the passenger which receives its own display and operating area where we are not entitled to provide those old submenus or voice commands.

THE ENGINE:
At 181 horsepower per liter, the M133 engine installed in Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG was (as of June 2013) the most powerful series-production four-cylinder turbocharged motor, and has one of the highest power densities of a passenger vehicle.

Of all the innovations made by Benz, the uprooted one lies in one of the founders' names, Carl Benz. He has started nearly 3 companies but all ended in vain. The fourth one resulted in the Benz, as it is the first automobile with 3 wheels. Every clear idea has a via to win the world, it's about the way it is used.
