IT'S THE SIGNS!

( A Completely fictional Story )


Anita and Shalini were having a good time on the Howrah Express by reminiscing about their school and college days. They were recounting the occurrences like a series of gossips!😇 By that time, Anita realized that Shalini's present was irregular and unappealing, so she took it and fixed it where Shalini pulled it off from Anita's hand and placed it safely in her handbag.

"I haven't finished the fixing, why did you grab?" Anita asked furiously. "I am truly sorry, yaar; I wish only Keshav to open it first" Anita recognized her and smiled. When Shalini was carrying the gift in her handbag, there was a violent movement in the train, causing the item to fall from Shalini's grasp! For a brief moment, her heart stopped!😲😲

It was around 6:45 PM and Shalini saw the train was crossing Sabira Station. Fortunately, nothing was happened to her gift, it's still good and Shalini was in relief. The gift meant a lot to her, and she was delighted to give it to her husband. This time she kept it safely inside her bag without any damage! But....................... there was something Shalini felt wrong. She saw these incidents as an unusual happening..... 

Quickly, the incident happened in Bhadrak Station came to her mind. She saw the surroundings, it was blurry..... She was hearing the words said by the old lady repeatedly, again and again... 😵 Her head started collapsing and now she experiences giddiness in an unbalanced state! But still, she is not worried about her health, her intuition says to make a call to her husband.... However, she can't as there was no signal on her phone! Her mind just felt something dangerous!


"How could this train travelling be so dangerous?" Shalini was stunned to hear the voice from Anita. She stood up fastly to get rid from that trauma, looked Anita and next second, she fainted! Everyone over there, helped Shalini out, gave her first aid medicine and placed in her seat safely😩 They were all very kind to her and asked Anita to take a well-care on Shalini.

Anita inquired about her health, Shalini said she was okay, but Anita knew she was not.... "Were you thinking about that old lady?" asked Anita. "No, but I didn't mean to think about her, it was something disturbing me, I saw some signs, they were not good and I need to talk to Keshav, right now, right now!" 

"Stop thinking about that old lady, it is just your mind!" Anita tried to soothe Shalini, but she couldn't; she was very agitated, and there was nothing that could persuade Shalini. She then turned to Anita and exclaimed, "Why did you say train travel is so dangerous? I collapsed when I heard that! Please respond!" "Shalini I was just reading on my phone that a massive palm tree had fallen near the Shalimar Express."😯 

This worried Shalini even more; "Okay, if you receive the news on your phone, you must have a strong connection, let me call Keshav, give it to me."  Shalini exited the room and approached the front door. Now that she had a solid connection, she saw she got a notification on her phone indicating the train was nearing Bahanaga Bazaar Station. She was unconcerned about it since she was too busy in dialing again and again... It was around 7:00 p.m. still, Keshav did not answer the phone....

Her heart is trembling in fear, hands on her phone, ears waiting for reply... but....... her two eyes now sees a huge train compartment flying in front of her!
